Bus Stop Displays – Oulu Region Transport

Oulu Regional Transport chose Ledimedia as its partner. We installed digital stop displays at bus stops in the city of Oulu and its neighboring municipalities. A total of up to 40 stop displays have been installed, which will serve public transport customers at the stops.

The displays conveniently show bus schedules and other information in real time, as they update automatically via remote connection. Digital stop displays offer Oulu Regional Transport a convenient way to communicate about exceptional situations and schedule changes.

Outdoor displays operate year-round regardless of weather conditions

Product: Stop displays. The stop displays are high-brightness monitors designed for outdoor use. The enclosure that withstands Finland’s changing weather conditions protects the internal components and ensures the displays function independently of weather conditions. The displays are equipped with robust technology, as their operating temperature can vary between -40 degrees Celsius in winter and +55 degrees Celsius in summer. Additionally, the displays are operational 24/7.

The high-brightness LCD panel on the displays allows for visibility on sunny days. Automatic brightness adjustment ensures that the display’s brightness remains at a suitable level relative to external light and does not dazzle the viewer.

The Waltti travel system is used on Ledimedia’s outdoor displays

The content of the stop displays is updated via a remote connection using the Waltti travel system. Waltti is a travel application developed by non-profit TVV Lippu- ja maksujärjestelmä Oy. LMJ Oy is owned by 20 Finnish urban regions and the Helsinki Region Transport Authority. The purpose of Waltti is to make traveling in Finland easier by combining the country’s public transport under the same ticketing system.
