LED-Screen Scoreboard – Vaasa’s Kaarlen Field

A new LED scoreboard implemented by Ledimedia, built at Vaasa’s Kaarlen field. The LED screen was set up in place of the old scoreboard to bring fast digital communication to this iconic sports field in Vaasa. Besides just displaying scores, the screen can now be used for advertising or providing other information such as upcoming sports events and sponsors. The beauty of LED screens is their ability to serve multiple purposes from a single display. Additionally, content can be updated in seconds with remote content management. This is digital age communication.

LED Screen Scoreboard – Details

The display surface is a whopping 88m2, ensuring that scores are visible from the opposite end of the field. The LED screen scoreboard is slightly larger than the old one, as the project aimed not to downsize. A pixel pitch of P10 provides an incredibly sharp image when viewed from closer distances, such as from the lane adjacent to the running track. Additionally, the LED screen is equipped with automatic brightness adjustment. This feature ensures the brightness is never too low or too high, significantly reducing power consumption during the darkest times.
